The 12 launch Core 6v6 maps

Use the format as your first filter. A Core map entry does not mean that the same layout supports every large-scale or small-team playlist. The official roster includes Tac-Map links for Core and Ground War; those diagrams are the right starting point for layout study.

Ground War, Gunfight and Kill Block

Kill Block uses changing configurations rather than a single permanently fixed layout. Reassess cover and sightlines at the beginning of a round instead of relying on an unchanged route. The official launch roster is a content announcement; check the current playlist for what is actually selectable.

Is Shipment a launch map?

Shipment has a separate announced October 27 arrival. It should not be counted among the 12 Core maps listed for the October 23 launch. A beta appearance, returning map name or promotional screenshot is not enough to move a map into the launch group.

A first-match map study routine

This is an editorial practice routine, not a tested route guide. Begin by identifying the objective and the team’s direction of travel. Pick one obvious landmark as a reference, then learn a safe connection to the next landmark. That gives you repeatable callouts without trying to memorize the entire layout at once.

After each death, ask whether the problem was an exposed crossing, a missed elevation or moving before the objective changed. Change one route or angle on the next attempt. A short record of where an engagement began and ended is more useful than assuming the map requires one universal weapon build.

  • Locate the current objective before choosing the fastest-looking route.
  • Check elevated openings as well as ground-level entrances.
  • Learn a second exit before holding a room.
  • Communicate the landmark and direction rather than an uncertain player name.
  • On a reconfigured Kill Block round, inspect the new connections before repeating the previous push.

What this directory does and does not measure

The names and match formats come from the official roster. We have not measured spawn probabilities, competitive map balance or an optimal route on the release build. Dedicated map walkthroughs will need original match evidence, platform and version notes before publication.
