Check security requirements before launch day
TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot are listed as requirements. Check the official Activision TPM guidance for your system before changing firmware settings. A processor or graphics card that meets the table does not resolve a security-configuration problem by itself.
Record your current hardware and Windows information first. If you are unfamiliar with firmware settings, use your PC or motherboard manufacturer’s instructions. This page does not provide a universal firmware procedure because menus and supported configurations vary.
Installation space is not download size
The 115 GB figure is a published storage requirement. Your launcher may show a different transfer size because it downloads selected content, compressed files, updates or only the files missing from an existing installation. Do not enter 115 GB into a download estimate unless that is the size your current launcher actually shows.
Keep extra headroom for downloads, unpacking and updates. If the launcher reports insufficient space, follow its current requirement instead of assuming that exactly 115 GB of free space will always be enough.
How to compare your PC
This is a requirements comparison, not a benchmark or compatibility certification. No personal FPS measurements were performed for this guide. Laptop power limits, cooling, drivers, display resolution and background tasks can all affect the result.
- Find the exact CPU and GPU model; a product family name alone is not enough.
- Compare dedicated video memory separately from system RAM.
- Check the drive type and available capacity on the installation drive.
- Verify Windows updates and the required security configuration.
- Begin with automatic or modest settings and change one option at a time if performance is unstable.
Frequently asked questions
Should I use the beta specs?
Use the September 29 launch publication for the full game. The August beta post describes an earlier build.
Can the download calculator tell me whether my PC can run MW4?
No. It estimates transfer time from values you enter. It does not inspect hardware, security settings or game performance.
